REO Speedwagon Benefit Concert Friday Dec. 17

REO SpeedwagonREO Speedwagon to perform intimate benefit concert on Friday Dec. 17th at Joe’s on Weed Street to benefit the University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics-I FUND.

Ticket price includes  REO SPEEDWAGON on stage,  top shelf open bar from 8pm to 11:30pm, passed appetizers all in a very intimate setting.

Benefit performances by REO Speedwagon are a regular part of their touring shows, including the “Ridin’ the Storm Out” benefit concert that raised more than a half-million dollars for Iowa flood relief victims in 2008.

Named after a fire engine and formed in Champaign IL in the 60’s, REO Speedwagon has been touring non-stop since they started the Midwest rock movement in the 70’s, influencing bands such as STYX, Kansas, Cheap Trick and more.   Featuring such unforgettable hit songs as “Ridin’ the Storm Out”, “Can’t Fight This Feeling”, “Keep on Loving You” and “Take It On the Run”, REO is one of the most easily recognized  bands on the radio to this day.
